SNOW!!!

So it started snowing Tuesday night and pretty much didn't stop until the early weeeee hours of Thursday morning.. and I don't mean flurries, I mean snowwing like gangbusters accumulating like crazy snowing. We have anywhere from 14-18inches depending on who you ask (I haven't heard the official count) because it's so drifty here. It's insane! My dad has this baby bobcat that he was shoveling snow with all day yesterday. He and my sister and brother went to the drugstore night before last to shovel snow and try to keep up with it so that it wouldn't be so bad yesterday morning. They ended up staying the night in the store because my dad was afraid he wouldn't be able to get back down there in the morning. Billy and Jenny slept in a lift chair and a electric scooter chair both in the front window and my dad on the floor. I hadn't gone to help shovel because they weren't gonna have enough shovels for me to be any help... they offered to come get me when they decided to stay but I declined figuring I'd be much happier here in front of a fire and in a bed :P. The snow is about up to my knees in the shallowest places in my dad's yard. yikes. haven't seen my mom's house yet but I bet Ginger (our dog) is having a hayday! So yeah... our prediction for a white Christmas according to the weather channel yesterday? 75-100%... given that it's not supposed to get about about 20degrees for the next several days... I'm betting 99.99999% is a pretty safe bet. lol. Only crappy thing is that it's so cold the snow is that really light fluffy stuff that looks pretty and sparkly but is no good to play in b/c it doesn't pack well AT ALL. soooo no snowmans or snowball fights for me. :(
hehe... looking back over my email I realized it's really kinda long... lol... sorry guys! I'm up and my siblings are still sleeping so I have nothing to do and am just killing time... I'm thinkin it's 11:00... time to wake their sorry butts up...
Happy Christmas Eve!! :)

Home for the Holidays

wow. Ok, sooo since I last wrote... I took my exams, they were hard, but seemed to go pretty well, booked it home friday afternoon and have spent LOTS of family time since. We went out to dinner at American Bounty w/my dad and his gf and Billy (kindof a b-day dinner for billy) and Daddy bought a bottle of Beringer White Zin that we split...yummy! So yeah good food, good company :) Then Sat we collected (can't say rake as there was not much raking... as we used leaf blowers and the Billy goat to vacuum them all up) leaves ALL DAY... I'm still sore. Daddy and Billy hadn't done it all year... we must have had 20 bags of leaves from that poor little yard. It was 2 FULL truckloads, so when we took it over to mom's (to put on the garden) I drove Billy's truck and he drove the Green Truck.... Yay driving a stick shift! Yeah so I'm not so good at it, but apparently I'm better than I remembered cuz I only killed it a coupla times, and the rest was smooth sailing.... seriously, I managed to not jerk it out of every stop sign I hit :). right so then we just relaxed the rest of the night. Sunday... mass and ARCTIC FRONT!!! for cryin out loud saturday it got up to almost 60... Sunday it was more like 40 below!!! so we went to 9:00 mass at Blessed Mother.... no wait, they changed theirs and so we walked in at communion... ooops! Let's try again... we go to St Joe and Paul... we figure if they don't have a 9:00 we can go down and kill time lookin at the property. Yay! they do have a 900 mass, and Fr Brian is the priest there so that was cool. Then we go down to the property BRRRRRRR!!! JESUS IT WAS REALLY COLD FROM THE WIND OFF OF THE RIVER!!! His new house is gonna have like 6in of insulation and the best windows and.... yeah. so then we head to O'Charleys' for Billy's Birthday Breakfast.. yummy waffles and hot tea! Billy opens his present (after we make him go to the bathroom...twice... so we can sign his card) and guess what!? It's not the right one! oops (but we still amused ourselves placing the bow on top of his head as he opened :) ). so after breakfast we go down to the drugstore and daddy comes out with another one. He opens that one in the car... just in case we need to try again. Jak and Daxter 3... yay., right one. So now as tradition has it.... off to find a christmas tree on the coldest day of the year, as had been our luck all day, naturally our first try they don't sell christmas trees there anymore. S'ok.. back to a different location, grab a tree and head home.... spend most of the day getting all our decorations out....we have Pipka and handpainted by grandma/grandpa santas EVERYWHERE. and 2 lovely christmas trees, one that looks like it belongs in the glassmakers shop that we bought all the ornaments from ;) and a real one that smells lovely. Then to the Drugstore Christmas party and we are on to Monday. Monday I went to the Dentist and got the chip in my front tooth fixed, YAY! and I looked at my grades. Shouldn't have looked. I'm PISSED. According to it I got a C in Patho/Pharm. I thouight I did well on that exam :(. Am trying to figure out if there's a mistake. I think it's crappy that the don't have an exam review for the final since they let you look and see what questions you got wrong, and challenge questions on all the other exams. so yeah... Got most of my presents wrapped, and then Monday night... went out with Lance for our anniversary... a real date! it was/will be our first 2 year anniversary (we didn't quite make it the first time) :) First he came over and we hung out a bit and then I got ready and we went to the BriarPatch. YUMMY! We got a bottle of wine and had some yummy food, and he even got me a gift... PEARL EARRINGS! They are BEAUTIFUL! I put them in right away, love them. He's too good to me. :) So then we went to his house for a bit, chatted with his mom, and then back to my house to see Billy's X-Box LAN setup. He had 12 boys, 4 tvs, 4 X-boxes... all connected... it was a 12 person game of Halo. pretty amusing seeing them all setup in the basement. lol. so Tuesday we went for our consultation with Riherd. We are going to get a family pic with my dad tomorrow, we are all excited, it's definately about time for another one. Went to the Dipper and ate lunch with Lance and Jacob (me jenny billy and mom) and mulched the roses so they won't be cold in the "winter weather" we are recieving at the moment. Billy and I messed with my computer... still working on backing up my harddrive so we can wipe and reformat and start over. Still have my fingers crossed for a new Harddrive. and then we pretty much wasted the rest of the night playing Diablo II. I went up like 15 levels last night :). And now for today. We have LOTS of SNOW and it doesn't look like it's stopping anytime soon. The rest of hte fam is at the dentist but I can't go untill after Jan 28... boo. looks like I prolly won't get my teeth cleaned till this summer then as they aren't open fri-sun or holidays so basically anytime I'm in... maybe spring break we'll see, but by then I might as well just wait and get back on the june/dec track. So yeah... just killin time... maybe I'll go make a snowman.... :) Merry Christmas all!!! Be Safe and hope everyone's enjoying their break! :)

DEAD WEEK

Ok, so let me explain my love/hate relationship with the last two weeks of school. Hold on tight, and listen good cuz this explanation could be a little loopy but bear with me cuz if you're reading this, you're on my territory :).
Right. So I took my last Patho/Pharm (NUR 870) test last wed and found out my score today... 93%!!!! This is wonderful.... I've never gotten an A on a patho test I don't think, but leave it to me to figure it out the last test before exams. Boo. So Thanksgiving is over, I'm back from Brown County (both of which entailed much needed battery recharching for me) and now we're in the home stretch. Dead week/exam week, HOME FOR THE HOLIDAYS!!! The thing about dead week is NOTHING IS GOING ON. The idea is that people will study for exams this week, but in all reality most of us study some but by mid week we are pulling our hair out, cuz really, who wants to do nothing but study and go to class all week?? The free time is lovely, but I can never decide if it's good or not. You see, if I study like a good little girl and be all productive and such, I find myself bored out of my wits and burntout like you would not believe. But I have this horrible, unshakable guilt if I don't study like I feel I should and enjoy the extra time that results from lack of meetings, activities, papers, tests, homework and the like. It's like the whole world stops for dead week. And exam week is no better. We don't have class even next week. Talk about giving me a complex! I am sooo much more productive when busy. You can't procrastinate when you are busy, you just gotta get it done. I really don't know what to do with all that time on my hands. But it's so lovely cuz there's a light at the end of the tunnel.... and the greatest thing about college holiday breaks.... THEY ARE LONG AND INVOLVE NOOOOOO HOMEWORK!!!! :D. Hell Yeah. like an entire month (or 3 depending on the time of year) of not worring about whatever test I should really prolly be learning an insane amount of information for.
But anyways. Yay for two more weeks of school and now I'm headed to wonderful wally world whoohoo!
laters!
