Plugging along

Started Night shifts for the first time last week. Monday night I drew blood and started an IV successfully... Whoohooo!!

Am beginning to feel like I have a little bit more of a handle on things re:reception... we'll see how long that lasts.... but am starting to get RSVP's back for the wedding! YAY! they make me so happy to see people will actually be coming.. it's so much easier to get excited about events like that when other people are also excited... I'm always afraid people come to stuff because they feel like they have to or whatever - Don't get me wrong, I'm thrilled to be marrying Lance, but all the planning (being done by an anti-planner nonetheless) gets old - I'm ready for it to be Sept 2nd and everything's perfect and happy and yeah. dreamy sigh - keeping the chin up, it's gonna be great and everyone's gonna have a good time and be happy :) Yay! :D

Wedding/new job

So. Am on the hunt. What is special/unique to me and Lance that can be incorporated into a wedding reception. Am fresh out of creative ideas and need something to make our reception "different". Holla if you have a clue what this might be, because I don't.

Otherwise, wedding planning is going ok - invites went out today after I finally decided I had everyone's address, or something close enough to get the invite to them, been shopping around looking at the bridal sections at all the craft stores, just to see what's out there... still so much to do....

In other news, my new job is pretty cool, am finally about to start into what I will actually be doing on the floor, instead of just boring orientation classes. YAY! Work my first night shift tomorrow night... am trying to get psyched for it - should be interesting staying awake, but we'll see. My goal for the next few weeks? NOT GET FAT sitting around the nurse's station eating to try and stay awake all ni ght. It's gonna take some effort. sigh. Can't wait to really get settled in down here... so far feels like I am always lost and not just geographically. Am starting to get the hang of things around here a little, but still can't wait until I get some sort of semblance of a comfort zone going.... anyways.... lots of stuff to do, better get back to it.... laters!
