We are Scary people.

Yeah, ok so it's official. We are are definatley scary girls... in that not axe murderer type way... more in that way too friendly when we are in a good mood way. The guy in the pic?? Some guy in one of Cynda's classes. Definately think we prolly scared the poor boy... but he was sitting all by himself.... poor thing had no idea what he was getting into when he agreed to come sit with us and not by himself. We on the other hand had a grand ole time :) and that was just the start of a very never-a-dull moment weekend... if ya really wanna know about it... ask me cuz I'm not gonna type it all out, gotta get to work in a few, but I felt the pictures were definately post worthy :)

My Baby came to see me!

YAY! So somewhere along the line I know we decided how long it had been since we'd seen each other, but now I don't remember except it wa 3-4 weeks which was a long time... So yeah... Lance came in last weekend and we had a lovely weekend. Stayed in Friday night, football game Saturday (YAY WE WON!) and then home for pizza and a shower, then back out to (where else) McCarthy's! Mmmmm.... Darren is still my favorite bartender in lexingon... so far Cynda and I have not found another decent bartender in town. Annnyyyyways... Met AC and her buddy (a previous drummer in WMB) and had a lovely time hanging out..... and probably weirding out some of the people near us with some of the topics of conversation.... don't ask. So Sunday, went to Mass at 11:30, then to lunch at Ramsey's yay! with Cynda, Billy and (of course) Lance, came home and hung around a lil' until we finally decided we needed to go get Ale 8 for Lance, so went to Sams and spent the rest of the evening walking around there, goofing off and seeing all there was to see, including large cases of Ale8. :) back home again after that, and then Lance pretty much headed out. :( and the hungry 3 left behind went and ate chinese and so ended our lovely weekend.
Long day yesterday, as is always with mondays, class (boring), class (boring) and practice (getting a little better as he gave us time to actually fix some stuff today... but I got roped into going to the IU game, which I really hadn't planned on doing, this weekend... oh well, it'll be fun, we'll make it fun... :) though am dissapointed about missing the dinner opportunity w/dad.. we'll go to lunch Sunday... then TBS...yay... and Pazzo's with some people :) and home.
Psych Clinical today, and actually took a lot away from the group discussion they had. It was all about how to be positive and set goals to help you get out of bed in the morning and how to stay positive through the day. ok... I can handle that... and then he wrote some fun stuff on the board. "If you fail to plan, you plan to fail" and the ABCD'S of goal setting... goals should be
A - achievable
B - believable
C - concrete
D - desirable
S - specific
And there's more! He gave a Handout on "Balanced positive thinking" Apparently research has actually found that thinking negatively affects your physical health. ...poeple with hostile attitutes or suppressed anger have more atherosclerosis (hardening of the arteries) and coronary blockages and were therefore more likely to experience heart attacks... negative thinkers have SIX-TIMES the death rate of those with more possitive tendency's.
Soooooo heres's some encouraging thoughts... :) and I quote from the article.. "Watch how you talk to yourself and monitor the mental pictures you play on the screen of your mind. As appropriate, take charge of these thoughts and guide them in positive ways. Talk to yourself encouragingly and kindly, and frequently visualize yourself reading your goals. In your thoughts-what you say to yourself and the mental picutres you hold-lie an awesome power and profound responsibility. You can accomplish almost anything as long as you think you can. " I quite personally find that very encouraging.... and enlightening.... I'm such a sucker for motivational speakers....:P
... and speaking of... Dave Ramsey's gonna be on Oprah at 4 :) definately will be glued to the TV for that, and then Cynda and I are gonna go down to the pool and do some swimmin tonight yay! it's been so long since I've been in a pool actually swimming laps and such.... and I need the excersize....
ok... better go take a look at some stuff for the Psych quiz tomorrow.... laters all!

UL Game ect

Sooooo, the UK/UofL game was last weekend... We really thought we'd get blown away but, wow, surprisingly we didn't :). Of course this clearly means we still handed it to them, I mean come on... it's UK football, but apparently our team voted on a silver platter instead of crystal this game and only handed it over by one touchdown. 'twas a heartbreaker, but otherwise a lovely weekend. Worked friday 7-3, then band and Greg's Birthday Party where we taught Billy to dance ( a little) and did some wiggling of our own (none of us were really brave enough to break it out hardcore with all the lights on lol), pretty much hung out alone watchin a coupla movies and vegging sat, then the parade, and the Game sunday :) Sunday night? Andy's going away party, and worked monday 7-3, though that was fun since I thought I had to work 3-11... hellava wake up call! But it was nice cuz Billy and I went to the grocery after and bought lots of food and came home and me and him and Cynda cooked a WONDERFUL dinner :) Chicken (grilled on a charcoal grill!) with a spice rub that I got from the drugstore, baked potatoes, french bread, mac and cheese, brocolli and cheese (see a trend??) and Lemon Bars for desert (as I had promised to make these specific bars for him when he came up for a college visit and since he never did, we made them last night) ... It was lovely, we made cool-aid and enjoyed running in and outside as it was pretty out and Billy earned his keep while we cooked... got the saw and drill out and made our shelf for our entertainment center :) Then we headed to Jenny's to chill and do Laundry... and that was my lovely little pleasant weekend... and now schools started back up and Lance comes in next weekend, and First Degree for our New girls is Friday... and we're back in full swing... hoping to have a little more down time this semester, but we'll see!
