I LOVE KIDS!

So. Let me just tell you how much I love kids. I really think they are so much fun and I really think that's what I want to do with my career... work with kiddos. I don't care what age... just in general. I love the little babies, toddlers are fun, school age is great... I love 'em all. Why this sudden passion? Well it's not really sudden as I must say I LOVED my job over the summer, but tonight was the Tates Creek Elementary School Health fair put on by some fellow students and I went to go help out and was stationed at the Height/weight/BMI staion... which is conveniently what I did all summer!! So I was very comfy with it... I'm just like hey!! hop up here lets see how big you are!! :) How old are you? REALLY.. that old! getting big.... :) and I was perfectly ok plotting on their growth chart and explaining to mom/dad that their kid was normal/overweight whatever... but really... I left there and I'm just flying... I really had fun with those kids :) It's a really interesting thing though, cuz you never spend more than a few minutes with them, but they are still so energetic and bouncy and happy and fun to shoot the shit with :) I love the education part of it too... I really love the well child aspect of healthcare - I really think (no big surprise, but it was nice to solidify it) I do want to do pediatric nurse practitioner and do well child check up and minutely sick kids. I know I'll have to do some hospital peds work... but I really don't see myself enjoying it as much as the well-er child side of it, b/c of course in a clinic your gonna have sick kiddos too, but for the most part, it's just different. Or maybe like Leann suggested... I could be a school nurse... not sure about that one, but it's a thought... could be fun :) I dunno... we'll see... have to graduate first :)....

ok so now I really need to get this paper overwith... tired of it hanging over my head....
